Clifton Hills Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.

We are a busy, dynamic school with passionate teachers and a strong parent community. We are looking for teachers ideally with excellent communication skills who are willing to make positive contributions to our school. Suitable applicants should be passionate, knowledgeable and ideally experienced teachers. You should display your ability to achieve results with students, using evidence-based teaching strategies. You should also display your ability to collect, analyse and respond to student data. The ability to take a collaborative approach in catering for individual differences and disabilities is desirable. We are seeking individuals who are invested in helping us work towards our Business Plan Goals and in implementing the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.
We are seeking teachers who are passionate, flexible, friendly team players with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to contribute to the life of the school. You should collaborate with others to support students with special needs, and have communication skills to enable you to develop positive, friendly, productive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
Applicants should be organised, engaged practitioners who create interesting and challenging programs for their students, and instil high expectations of student achievement and behaviour. Experience in evidence-based literacy, Talk For Writing or Promoting Literacy Development (PLD) is highly desirable. Suitable applicants should also be passionate about implementing the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework, and embedding our whole-school approaches in Literacy and Numeracy.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Applicants currently completing the Department of Education Leap program (formerly known as the Switch program) can apply for vacancies using their current or Leap qualification – even if they have not completed the program at the time of applying. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration;
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
