You will ideally provide quality teaching and learning opportunities that cater for the individual learning needs of students to achieve their full potential. Applicants who possess knowledge of School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) senior school curriculum and the Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN) and who are proficient at using assessment and reporting to guide their teaching practice are highly desirable. Education Support qualifications are desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant should be organised, have a strong focus on ensuring a safe and appropriate learning environment and possess the ability to work well in a team in particular to support education assistants to deliver evidence-based, best practice programs to enhance student outcomes. You will ideally have knowledge and understanding related to students with disabilities, including Intellectual Disability (ID), multiple physical disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ability to effectively incorporate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into learning programs is highly desirable.
Our School
Eastern Goldfields ESC is situated in Kalgoorlie, across a dual campus. Years 7 to 10 are co-located with Kalgoorlie Boulder Community High School and years 11 to 13 are co-located with Eastern Goldfields College, Central Regional TAFE and Curtin University. Our Centre is well resourced with a brand new, purpose-built centre which opened in 2017. We cater for a range of student abilities and applicants should possess the ability to plan individually and differentiate the curriculum.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
