Appointment Pool
Connolly Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 2 Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
We are looking for innovative and dedicated teachers to join our established team. A strong knowledge of the WA Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework, and National Quality Standards is essential. Suitable applicants should be able to plan and teach in a collaborative environment with highly developed competencies in differentiating the curriculum.
Suitable applicants should ideally be conscientious and have a diligent approach to the role. They should also be collaborative, active and flexible staff members who display high interpersonal and problem solving skills. Applicants should have a passion for play based, hands on learning and be able to balance this approach with explicit teaching and learning in all curriculum areas. A knowledge of the Pre-Lit and Initial Lit programs is desirable as is the use of daily reviews in literacy and numeracy.
Suitable applicants should also ideally possess the ability to plan for student achievement using school data sources to inform their planning. Knowledge of the Science of Reading will be a distinct advantage.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
