Appointment Pool
Esperance Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2023.

About the role
We are seeking passionate teachers of HASS with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Suitable applicants should possess the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver relevant HASS curriculum through engaging programs that are relevant to our students' needs. Suitable applicants will ideally have an extensive working knowledge of teaching strategies to support the development of skills and understandings in line with HASS curriculum expectations. You will ideally be student and relationship focused and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements.
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
