This is a six (6) month fixed term, part-time 0.4FTE position commencing Term 3, 2022 with possible twelve (12) month extension and/or permanency
Sutherland Dianella Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Italian Teacher to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will ideally possess well developed organisational and interpersonal skills and thrive as part of a team. We seek a teacher who is adept at building relationships with students, colleagues and parents. Applicants will display that they can create and maintain a stimulating learning environment for students that inspires a passion for learning Italian.
As a teacher at our school, the successful applicant will be a passionate educator, committed to making a difference in the lives of all young people. The successful applicant should have a strong knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum, and a focus on embedding ICT throughout their teaching and learning program. The successful applicant will ensure that all student learning needs are catered through high quality differentiated learning experiences.
It is highly desirable that the successful applicant can work collaboratively within a school community and have a genuine investment in our school and its Business Plan. The successful applicant will ideally show a student-centred focus and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
