Appointment Pool
Halls Head College is seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies, which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2023.
We anticipate some exciting opportunities starting in Semester 2, 2022 for dynamic and highly effective Teachers of HPE to continue the development of the Sports Academy programs that are delivered within the College.
Suitable applicants will ideally be highly active in their chosen specialised area, applying current and up to date knowledge and trends. Applicants with experience in coaching (at or above association level), with relevant coaching accreditations, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Suitable applicants should have a real care and consideration for students and highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. You will be called upon to work collaboratively with all members of the school and wider community to provide quality educational experiences through promoting the school’s vision and strategic directions. Specifically, you will be student and relationship focussed, be able to provide engaging and meaningful learning, as well as assisting to develop an enriched HPE curriculum and profile of the HPE Learning Area. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
