Corrigin District High School (DHS) are seeking an energetic, motivated and highly skilled Teacher - English - Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) to join their team.

Experience with implementing explicit teaching strategies including use of Warmups, Learning Intentions, and Success Criteria will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will ideally be committed to supporting current whole school processes to achieve the best student outcomes. The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate effective collaboration skills to be able to work with other staff to apply whole school approaches for curriculum delivery across the school.
The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate an ability to provide excellence in creating and maintaining supportive a safe learning environment, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential. The successful applicant will ideally have a willingness to build strong relationships with students, parents, and the community.
Corrigin DHS is situated in the Southern Wheatbelt 240 km from Perth, and caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
