Dalyellup College is seeking to appoint a dedicated Languages – French Teacher with the drive to develop a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. We are looking for an applicant who is passionate about their chosen Language.

The successful applicant for this position should be a passionate teacher, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
They should have the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school French Language curriculum within the school context. Importantly, they will ideally also be enthusiastic adopters of a school wide pedagogy based on explicit instruction who are keen to work collaboratively with superordinates and colleagues within the learning area.
Dalyellup College features contemporary, state-of-the-art facilities located in the community of Dalyellup on the outskirts of Bunbury in the Capel Shire. It is an Independent Public School catering for approximately 800 secondary students from Year 7-12. The community of Dalyellup (‘a village in the forest by the sea’) is growing, with new land and homes being built. The College forms part of an Independent Public Schools Cluster together with Dalyellup Primary School, Tuart Forest Primary School and Capel Primary School.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
