Appointment Pool
Gwynne Park Education Support Centre (ESC) is seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2023
Suitable applicants will ideally be motivated, compassionate, flexible, and highly organised. Applicants who are familiar with, or willing to learn, strategies and use of early intervention strategies, Explicit Instruction, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), task analysis, and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to work effectively with our diverse range of students, are encouraged to apply. Applicants who have highly developed classroom management skills to create the safe and caring environments required for optimal learning to take place, and the ability to use collaborative planning to support targeted and sustainable behaviour interventions will be held in high regard. Proficiency in the use of assessment to identify ability, interests, progress, and areas for development is desirable, as is the ability to develop plans and programs aligned with identified individualised student outcomes. Suitable applicants will ideally possess outstanding communication skills and strong leadership within the classroom and wider community.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
