Advertised Vacancy Number: SS/SS748727
This is a permanent part-time 0.2FTE position commencing Term 2, 2022
Useless Loop Primary School (PS) are seeking a dedicated and organised Library Officer to join their team.
As a Library Officer you will provide general clerical and library support, including preparing correspondence, booking equipment and facilities, assisting with stocktaking and monitoring and ordering consumables. The successful applicant will also ensure the library environment is safely maintained and at an acceptable level of tidiness, including the maintenance of equipment and displays, repairing damaged books and covering new books. The ability to operate library systems which ensure library records are up to date, ensuring all new resources or archived items are recorded and resources are correctly bar coded is desirable.
Useless Loop PS caters for students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 and is a very scenic, yet isolated community located approximately 850 km from Perth, and 450 km from Geraldton. Low student numbers allow for an individualised approach to learning and promoting a whole school philosophy of success for all students. Whole school planning ensures that students are provided with work at their current year level, while engaging with students in multi-aged settings provides for remediation and enrichment.
Useless Loop is a closed mining town which means only current residents of Useless Loop are able to apply.
