Appointment Pool
Are you a superb teacher that is looking for a collaborative work environment which prioritises student success?
Herne Hill Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2023.
As a teacher at our school, you will ideally contribute to a positive team culture and be committed to genuine collaboration in planning for, teaching and assessing student learning. You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
Suitable applicants should exhibit a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. They should also possess the ability to plan for school improvement using and responding to all data sources, ensuring curriculum and pedagogical development is current and ongoing. This role will be ideally for Years 2-6.
Herne Hill PS is a Independent Public School nestled in the Swan Valley among vineyards at the base of the Darling Range. The school has been described as the 'jewel of the Swan Valley'. In 2022, the school celebrates a milestone birthday turning 100. We are a highly collaborative school where all staff are required to work together towards common goals.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
