This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2022 with possible extension and/or permanency
Mount Barker Community College (MBCC) is seeking an applicant that will develop, improve, and deliver high school Mathematics programs whilst improving the participation of students in Mathematics activities, within the framework of our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) program.
The successful applicant should utilise an evidence-based approach and make the best use of contemporary learning tools. You should possess the qualities to promote excellence and implement an innovative curriculum. Suitable applicants will have the ability to teach Mathematics to year 12 level. An interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) will also be highly valued.
The successful applicant should have a genuine care and consideration for students, highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. In addition, they should have the ability to promote an environment of active and positive learning; and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their very best.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
