The Role and our Branch
The Residential Colleges branch is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated College Manager for Moora Residential College, one of nine residential colleges across Western Australia.

As College Manager you will be caring, organised and enthusiastic with a genuine desire to assist young people complete their education while living away from home and family. The College Manager is required to live in accommodation provided on site. You will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality boarding service and will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
The College Manager is responsible for line management of the supervisory, administration and ancillary staff of the College. The successful applicant will ideally possess a commitment to continuous improvement, providing leadership and management to ensure the college maintains a well-functioning team to deliver the required boarding service to students.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
- work according to rostered hours which may include nights, weekends and public holidays
- obtain (prior to first rostered shift working with students) and maintain a current:
- First Aid Certificate – Provide CPR (HLTAID001);
- First Aid Certificate – Provide First Aid (HLTAID003);
- within six months of commencements of employment obtain and maintain a current:
- LR Class Driver’s Licence and a Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation;
- Aquatic Rescue for Group III Pool Award*;
- Surf Rescue Certificate*; and
- Obtain a Certificate IV in Community Services – Student Residential Care (CHC42015) within six months of commencement of employment
* Dependent on operational requirements as determined by Manager Residential Colleges.
