Are you a motivated and enthusiastic teacher looking for an opportunity to join a committed team at a northern suburbs secondary school close to the Perth CBD?
Dianella Secondary College is seeking to establish a pool of motivated and enthusiastic teachers within the Technologies learning area for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 3, 2023.
Desirable areas include the ability, qualifications and experience to teach Certificate II Kitchen Operations, Food Science Technology, Home Economics, Design and Technology, and Materials, Design & Technology.
Applicants should be aware that there will be permanent full-time positions available within these areas.
Suitable applicants should ideally have a focus on a whole school approach to teaching and learning with a commitment to high expectations for all students. They should also ideally be committed to building a positive culture of success where students strive to achieve their personal best. Suitable applicants will work to improve student performance in literacy and numeracy, and work with students to provide appropriate intervention and support for improvement.
Suitable applicants will ideally be well-researched and experienced in innovative teaching and learning. They will ideally have a high level of communication and collaboration, using a whole school approach to improve student outcomes. Applicants who can effectively use skills and analyse data to effectively inform planning, programming and teaching are encouraged to apply.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
