Greenwood College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and collaborative professional to join our Science team.
The successful applicant will ideally be a dynamic and dedicated Science specialist with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The role includes a knowledge of the Western Australian (WA) Science Curriculum, teaching a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12. The successful applicant will ideally possess sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and be able to work cooperatively in a Learning Area team. Sound classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and to practise a range of teaching strategies are highly regarded for this position. Previous experience planning and teaching Chemistry at an ATAR level will be considered favourably for this position.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents, and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are highly regarded for applicants. As the successful applicant, you will ideally be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. Ideally, the successful applicant will also be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership, and desirably have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
