Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Curriculum Support Officer. This role will provide operational support to the Executive team.
As a Curriculum Support Officer, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills and possess sound conceptual and analytical skills. You will undertake a wide range of curriculum and administrative supports within the school. Well-developed computer skills are essential, you will use various Microsoft Office and Department of Education databases that relate to all aspects of curriculum, staff and student management systems. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating relief staff on a daily basis, in addition to providing administrative support to the Executive team and school community. Experience with the School Information System (SIS) software modules, Timetabling and Examination Scheduler is desirable. Please note, the hours of work for this position are from 7.00am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- ability to provide effective administrative support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business systems.
- initiative and sound organisational skills with the ability to identify priorities and meet deadlines.
- sound research, conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to provide innovative thinking in problem solving.
- well developed computer skills, including the ability to create, operate, manipulate databases, spreadsheets and extract reports.
- sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels and work effectively in a team environment.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
