Armadale Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher - Early Childhood Education, to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, energetic and possess the qualities to promote excellence, build effective teams and implement innovative curriculum. You should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. It is highly desirable the successful applicant has expertise dealing with students with special needs.
We are seeking a teacher who pursues excellence in teaching, has high expectations and truly believes that all children can learn and be successful. You should also be committed to putting students first in your decision-making and adhere to a whole school approach. In this role you should deliver motivating and quality educational programs and believe that exemplary, evidence-based teaching practices lead to successful students and high standards of achievement.
Armadale PS is an Independent Public School which is located in the foothills of Armadale, 28km south east of Perth CBD and caters for children in Kindergarten to Year 6. At Armadale PS our specialist and highly qualified, motivated and experienced teachers and education assistants work as a unified team to offers the very best educational opportunities for its 451 students.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
