About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher who is child focused and has high expectations of student achievement.
The Ideal Teacher
The successful applicant will ideally have sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be skilled in effectively differentiating the curriculum to cater for differing student needs. You will ideally have a strong understanding of working with children with a disability. Understanding of explicit teaching, Talk 4 Writing, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), National Quality Standard (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Initialit is highly desirable.
You will ideally foster a love of learning and development of early literacy, numeracy and social skills. You should be motivated and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive and challenging learning environment; based on high accountability and sound expectations to ensure all students are achieving their maximum potential. The successful applicant will ideally be flexible, able to work in a small staff, have a strong work ethic and be warm, child-centred and friendly.

Northampton DHS is located in the rural setting of Northampton, 54km north of Geraldton. Providing high quality education for the local community, it caters to children from Kindergarten to Year 10. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
