Carlisle Primary School (PS) is seeking an innovative and dedicated Primary Science Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will be a Science Teacher who ideally builds trust-filled, quality relationships with students, parents and staff. You should have the skills to be able to support and encourage the students to achieve the aims outlined in the Western Australian curriculum. You will ideally have outstanding science curriculum knowledge, be a high-quality teacher, and have a strong desire to create engaging science experiences for all students from Pre-primary to year 6.
You should be able to inspire students to develop a passion for learning in vibrant, engaging and supportive classrooms, whilst setting and upholding high expectations of behaviour and engagement through the explicit use of our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach. It is key to the role that you implement whole school approaches and display a strong capacity to integrate digital technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.
With a newly refurbished and dedicated science room you will have a space in which to create a learning environment that immerses students of all ages in hands-on learning experiences. You will have the scope and support to grow the science program beyond the classroom by connecting with colleagues and creating partnerships with external stakeholders to bring about a love for learning and wonder for the world our students live in.
The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. It is highly desirable that applicants be able to articulate their capacity to work effectively in collaborative learning teams to achieve our shared short and long term goals for student success.
It would also be highly regarded if you are able to articulate your experience in implementing whole school consistent practices, effectively differentiating learning based on data, and the impact you have on student outcomes, including those students from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) backgrounds.
Supported by a committed and engaged community, our school places great importance on ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable them to successfully adapt to a rapidly-changing society. We foster student success through high quality and consistent teaching and learning programs, a supportive and responsive pastoral care approach and a vibrant learning environment, where our students value the learning process and become confident and capable learners.
