Butler College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Physical Education (Netball Specialist).
The successful applicant should be a passionate teacher of Health and Physical Education, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. We are looking to appoint a teacher who ideally possesses the ability and skills to grow and develop the colleges High Performance Netball program. The successful applicant should possess high level coaching accreditation in Netball and have the ability to develop strong links with the community. Previous experience obtained through the involvement of similar programs at other schools will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to utilise a variety of skills to provide an integrated, personalised and engaging learning experiences for all students. An understanding of the Explicit Direct Instruction model (EDI) would be useful, along with the ability to teach science.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
