About the role
Dawul Remote Community School (RCS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join their dynamic and collaborative team. Dawul RCS teachers employ the use of Explicit Instruction to deliver innovative learning programs across all learning areas.
Curriculum Knowledge
To be successful in this position applicants will ideally present the ability to differentiate in a multi-age/multi-ability classroom as this vacancy will be used to fill the role of Junior Class teacher of students in years Kindergarten to Year 3 (K-3). The successful applicant will be highly motivated and implement engaging and effective learning programs. Experience of explicit targeted teaching/explicit instruction and experience in, or knowledge of the Kimberley Schools Project would be highly desirable. The Early childhood teacher will ideally have a sound understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and be able to work with the Early childhood team to continue to reflect and build a strong foundation of Early Childhood Priority within the school. Previous experience working with Indigenous and English as an additional language or dialect (EALD) students would also be desirable.

Dawul RCS is located 110 km southwest of Kununurra on the Great Northern Highway in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia. The school is situated on Doon Doon Station, an Aboriginal owned cattle station of approximately one million acres (formerly Dunham River Station)

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
