Belridge Secondary College (SC) are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and dedicated educator, highly motivated to work in a collaborative team environment. They will provide students with a purposeful and engaging learning experience to develop their skills, knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Design and Technologies.
The successful applicant should be a proactive and passionate Design and Technology Teacher who is able to effectively teach across the schools Design and Technology programs. The successful applicant will ideally be a teacher who engages their students and challenges them to achieve their personal best. The successful applicant will ideally display the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. The successful applicant should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum to develop innovative learning opportunities and be able to teach students of varying ability levels, differentiating the curriculum, in a highly engaging manner.
Applicants with strong knowledge and skills in the delivery of one or more Senior Secondary courses are encouraged to apply. As a reflective practitioner, the successful applicant will ideally possess effective data literacy and a capacity to modify their practice to meet identified student needs. Strong knowledge and skills in the effective integration of innovative and engaging ICT based technologies and cooperative learning instructional strategies is highly desirable.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
