About the Role
For this innovative teacher leadership role, you will ideally have excellent pedagogy and classroom practice and a desire to contribute to improving outcomes for students as well as outstanding Chemistry content knowledge and a track record of successfully preparing students for Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Chemistry examinations.
It will be highly desirable if the successful applicant has a deep understanding of Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Chemistry curriculum and assessment standards, and an ability to use data to review and adjust teaching and assessment programs in order to support student outcomes. You will ideally have strong communication skills and a desire to lead and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment combined with a desire to learn or build on your capacity to deliver lessons.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
