Eastern Hills Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a highly professional, passionate and innovative Teacher – Home Economics to join our innovative Technologies Team.
As the successful applicant, you will ideally have experience teaching across a range of Home Economics subject areas. Previous experience and delivery of Lower School Food Programs and Year 11 Children, Family and Community would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will ideally be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. They should possess an engaging and energetic teaching style, promoting an environment of active and positive learning in their classroom. It is highly desirable that the successful applicant will be committed to providing high quality learning opportunities and activities for all students, enabling each of them to make connections with the ‘real world’ and develop the skills needed to be successful at school and in the future.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. - Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
