Wickham Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and committed Teacher – Learning Support Coordinator, with excellent interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant will assist teaching staff in the delivery of planned education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. They will work under general supervision or autonomously, and would be required to contribute advice and expertise, collaborating with school community members to support student achievement. The Learning Support Coordinator should show a commitment to enhancing students’ learning opportunities through ongoing reflective classroom practice as well as commitment to planning and engaging in professional learning opportunities, including collaboration with colleagues.
In this role, you will have the ability create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, focussing on the development of the whole child. The successful applicant will ideally have the following attributes: They will be able to show care, be curious about learning and about learners, be invested in the school and the community, have a sense of humour and possess the ability to model a reflective teaching practice.
The successful applicant will be provided with access to all relevant professional learning opportunities. The successful applicant will also be provided with the opportunity to become an accredited coach.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
