This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part-time 0.6FTE position commencing Term 1, 2022 with possible extension (12 months).
East Beechboro Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and confident educator to join our team in the position of Learning Support Coordinator and School Readiness Program (3-Year-Old).
Our staff of professional educators and support staff work with the school community to care for our students. The Learning Support Coordinator works collaboratively with teachers, education assistants and the leadership team. The successful applicant should be a positive and innovative instructional leader. They should have the ability to inspire and deliver initiatives and strategies that develop capacity within teachers and education assistants to improve student learning.
The role of the School Readiness Program Teacher is to develop and implement a high-quality and engaging play-based learning program for 3-year-old children.
In addition to displaying competency against the 3 domains, applicants will ideally be able to display the following skills:

- Excellent interpersonal skills – collaborative communicator;
- Commitment to ongoing professional development;
- Commitment to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students in their care;
- Ability to have difficult conversations with staff, students and parents;
- Solution focused thinker/planner;
- Developed knowledge of best practice teaching and learning strategies for students with identified learning difficulties both diagnosed and imputed; and
- A knowledge of MiniLit and MultiLit as well as EAL/D Progress Maps will be highly regarded.
Teachers who have additional expertise, skills and knowledge that can add value to the development of explicit whole school programs will be highly regarded
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
