Belridge Secondary College (SC) is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to fill the position of a Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher.
The Teacher of HPE will be responsible for developing a safe, rewarding and supportive learning environment for all students. Working in collaboration with other staff, the successful applicant will ideally have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum – including knowledge of how to plan, deliver and assess engaging and relevant units of work relating to HPE.
The successful applicant should have the knowledge and skills necessary to apply a range of engaging teaching strategies and develop a positive classroom learning environment. Teachers at Belridge SC are dedicated and intrinsically motivated educators; who have the ability to develop and differentiate high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. The successful applicant will ideally have an excellent working knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Year 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner. Experience in the delivery of ATAR Health and ATAR General Outdoor Education courses will be advantageous.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
