Wickham Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join their team.
The successful applicant will ideally display a commitment to student engagement and the capacity to develop strong positive relationships with students, staff and community members. The ability to provide an enriched, supportive and engaging learning environment with a focus on pastoral care is highly desirable. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated educator with the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. Applicants will ideally have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to deliver content in an engaging manner.
The successful applicant will implement a music program for students of mixed abilities, aptitudes and educational needs through planning, preparation, monitoring and assessment using a variety of technologies. They should understand the different ways in which students learn and the appropriateness of a variety of teaching styles to meet the individual learning needs of each student. They will also ideally possess sound musical knowledge and technical skill to model and inspire students, working closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
