Appointment Pool
Falcon Primary School is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and innovative Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Falcon PS are seeking applicants that will ideally be able to provide innovative teaching and learning programs that nurture and inspire students. Suitable applicants will work as a part of a cooperative, supportive and inclusive team giving the opportunity to make a contribution to our school community.
Suitable applicants will ideally have outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and relate to parents, students and staff members. It will be highly desirable that applicants will be highly motivated and enthusiastic whilst having good communication skills in order to follow whole school initiatives. Knowledge of Explicit Instruction, Talk for Writing, Heggerty, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematic (STEAM) approaches and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) will be desirable.
Falcon PS is located south of Mandurah approximately 500 metres from Avalon Bay. The school has six teaching blocks (including a Resource Area, new Early Childhood Education and Specialists block). It also has an enclosed assembly area with stage.
Falcon is designated as a local intake school and students attending the school are primarily drawn from the local growth areas of Falcon, Sunrise Cove, Wannanup, Pleasant Grove and Port Bouvard.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
