Appointment Pool
Yuluma Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Teachers (kindergarten and pre-primary) for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

As an Early Childhood Teacher at Yuluma PS, you will ideally have a passion for explicit, visible teaching and learning, highly developed organisational skills, flexibility, a commitment to implementing whole school programmes, and display self-improvement through peer coaching. Personal growth is a critical element for professional success in our culture, and the suitable applicants should be committed to ongoing professional development to ensure adherence to school priorities and whole school programmes.
Applicants will ideally display a strong knowledge of the WA Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework. They should be able to plan and teach in a collaborative environment with highly developed competencies in differentiating the curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy. The ability to analyse and use data to support teaching, assessment and reporting will be held in high regard. Knowledge and experience in teaching students with learning difficulties and disabilities; explicit teaching, Talk for Writing, and integrating technology into the curriculum would be an advantage.
Yuluma PS is a level four, Independent Public School for Kindergarten – Year 6 students. The catchment area is the suburb of Innaloo with its diverse cultural and socio-economic background that enriches the student base. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
