We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Contract Administration Officer to join our team at ICT Governance and Planning.
ICT Governance and Planning is delivering essential work that provides support for the Department’s educational outcomes by developing initiatives and technical support strategies to ensure all 800 Western Australian public schools can be individual, distinctive and responsive to their local communities while still benefiting from being part of a system. We are the primary entry point to ICT for any new significant effort, project, planning or major change initiative.
The successful applicant will administer and maintain contract processes and associated recordkeeping, including confidential information, and, research, prepare, coordinate and record contract management documentation and assist contract managers in the preparation of business cases and other documents as required. They will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contract administration requirements are fulfilled, including monitoring Criminal Screening Clearance for contracted staff.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our division for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Sound contract management and/or procurement administration experience within a complex environment.
- Sound written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels.
- Initiative and sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
- Sound research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Sound skills and experience in a variety of information management systems and computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
