Kyilla Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Kyilla PS is seeking applicants who are ideally motivated, innovative and enthusiastic teachers with growth mindsets to join their teaching team. We are looking for teachers who ideally enjoy working as part of a team, have excellent skills in the teaching of literacy and numeracy as well as considering the social and emotional needs of children. Kyilla is a close-knit community where each child is known well and families work in partnership with the school.
Suitable applicants will ideally have excellent classroom management skills and be able to build strong relationships with children and their parents. Teachers at Kyilla support the continued implementation of our school’s culture, vision and current Business Plan. You will implement our school-wide practices that meet the needs of our students and foster an environment that promotes student success. These practices include Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Talk 4 Writing, PLD (synthetic phonics) and High Impact Teaching Strategies. Teachers at Kyilla also use Classroom Management Strategies and Instructional Strategies for Engagement. Suitable applicants will ideally have a good level of data literacy and be able to work with other teachers on analysing school data to inform teaching practice. The ability to differentiate for students requiring extension or curriculum support is highly desirable. Participation in curriculum committees that drive school improvement is valued.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
