Appointment Pool
Cecil Andrews College is seeking to establish a pool of Design and Technology Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2022.
As a suitable applicant, you will be able to engage students in a range of contexts within the Design and Technologies Learning Area based on your knowledge and skills. You will ideally have a strong understanding of the requirements across the Learning Area to ensure our students can reach their full potential in all aspects of their learning process. Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum as well as the planning, delivery and assessment of Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses will be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants will self-reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential. Cecil Andrews College provides exemplary education to children from Year 7 to Year 12. Located in Seville Grove, we do not have a prescribed local intake area so we welcome children from across the State to apply to enrol. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
