Appointment Pool
Are you a passionate teacher motivated in shaping our students’ futures?
We are seeking to establish a pool of Business and Digital Technology teachers for appointments for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Suitable applicants will possess expertise in planning and teaching Business and Digital Technologies. Working within the Technologies Learning area, the successful applicant will set high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment.
Suitable applicants will ideally be flexible, adaptive and competent in applying the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching to achieve high outcomes for all students. You will also be an applicant with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills who can work very effectively in a team environment.
As we need a number of teachers in this area, we are looking for outstanding teachers across a variety of Business Education and/or Digital Technologies contexts, including Accounting, Information Technology, Digital Technologies, Coding, Media, Photography and Web Design. It would be highly desirable for the successful applicant to have the demonstrated ability and qualifications to teach Certificate II, III or IV in Business.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
