Appointment Pool
Do you have a passion for teaching?
Ranford Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Suitable applicants will be highly motivated, innovative Primary Teachers who have positive interpersonal qualities and are able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
The learning environment created by the teacher will be challenging and caring, catering for the range of needs which will see all students achieving their potential. Applicants will ideally be prepared to participate in whole school and phase planning as well as collaborative and curriculum teams.
It is highly desirable that applicants display a high level of collaborative practice to enable effective participation and engagement within the school. Experience and knowledge of current educational research as it applies to the pedagogy of Visible Learning would be advantageous.

In order to maximise learning for all students, the curriculum is planned to cater for the diversity of learners in the student population, including special needs and EAL/D learners. Working as part of a team, both teaching and support staff participate in whole school planning processes that implement consistent curriculum and policy from Kindergarten through to Year 6. Online teaching and learning is an integral part of all teaching and learning programs and the school is well equipped to provide teachers with a rich variety of resources and technology.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
