Appointment Pool
Warnbro Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of experienced and passionate Teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2022.
We are seeking accomplished teachers with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills which underpin professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community. Suitable applicants will become an integral part of our community to support each child to reach their potential.
As a teacher at Warnbro PS, you will be working in a collaborative environment to improve student outcomes, reflect on your own performance, contribute to staff development and support our distributed leadership model. You should be committed to continuous improvement by your willingness to accept and implement change, brainstorm innovative solutions and contribute to initiatives at a phase of learning and/or school-wide level.
Suitable applicants should be highly skilled and motivated educators who are passionate about teaching, with an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, especially in Literacy and Numeracy. The school is focused on embedding evidence-based practices with a strong focus on explicit teaching in Literacy and Numeracy and social emotional support.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is a school-wide focus, with yearly projects linked to community events and themes such as sustainability.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
