Manea Senior College (SC) are seeking an organised and collaborative Program Coordinator – Academic Performance to join their friendly and supportive team.
The Program Coordinator - Academic Performance is a pivotal educational leadership position at Manea SC and requires an in depth knowledge of senior schooling, including courses, WACE requirements, Endorsed Programs, VET, ATAR calculations and university entrance - direct, portfolio and alternate entry. You will implement WACE requirements and take ownership for the academic performance of a year group, including student course and pathway modification. The Program Coordinator – Academic Performance has responsibility for monitoring student attainment at both an individual and cohort level, thereby informing the collaborative development of both individual improvement plans and cohort improvement strategies.
As the Program Coordinator – Academic Performance, you will promote quality teaching and learning, develop administrative, communication and operational systems which are timely and responsive to the academic improvement process. You will play a key role in the leadership and management of change within the College including the development of College initiatives in relation to student attainment of the General Capabilities (ACARA).
The successful applicant will provide support, advice and direction for all teaching staff within the context of senior school requirements. Depending on College needs you may also have a small teaching role.
The successful applicant will ideally possess superior interpersonal and public relations skills, written and oral communication skills and a capacity to conceptualise and analyse information including student and College wide data. You will ideally be able to identify issues and generate creative and appropriate solutions. The College relies heavily on electronic communication and internal systems to track, monitor and communicate progress. The successful applicant will need to engage in this electronic medium, as opposed to a paper based environment.
Strategically located between Edith Cowan University (ECU) South West Campus and South Regional TAFE (SRT), MSC students have the opportunity to combine their WA Certificate of Education (WACE) programs with certificate qualifications and access TAFE and university facilities across the Education Precinct.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
