Appointment Pool
Are you a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative team player?
Esperance Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of highly motivated, team orientated, innovative and student-centred teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 and 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 and 2022 school years.
Esperance PS staff are committed to a strong sense of culture that has been developed collaboratively based on a set of shared beliefs on teaching and learning. We are seeking teachers who can commit to our team orientated, highly collaborative and passionate team. They will possess high order interpersonal skills and establish strong and lasting rapport with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
Suitable applicants will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the implementation of whole school approaches in literacy and numeracy as outlined in our school’s 2021-23 Business Plan. Staff have a strong focus on explicit direct instruction and have recently embraced and implemented evidence-based literacy and numeracy approaches. Applicants will need to possess a thorough knowledge and application of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to provide evidence of this in their teaching and learning. All applicants will need to possess the ability to differentiate curriculum delivery to cater for every child’s learning needs. Applicants will display an ability to use data to monitor their students’ progress and achievement. Currently, the school uses whole school approaches in Talk for Writing, InitiaLit and Origo Stepping Stones and experience in these programs will be an advantage.
A willingness to embrace innovation and incorporate the skills of the 21st century learner within their everyday pedagogy will be highly valued. We are a BYOD school from Years 4-6 and evidence of the ability to integrate digital technology in everyday teaching and learning will be an advantage. Additionally, staff embrace additional responsibilities beyond their classroom, with regular opportunities to lead staff through a distributed leadership model.
Everything we do at Esperance PS is about children and doing what is best for them. As a school, we build on the foundation laid by Parents and Carers, and we encourage them to become actively involved in school life. The staff of Esperance PS work tirelessly, and with overwhelming moral purpose, to ensure all children’s academic, social and emotional needs are considered, planned for and met. Our Tribes Agreements of Mutual Respect, Attentive Listening, Personal Best, Appreciations / No Put downs and Right to Participate drive our school values and allows our students to connect as a community and develop shared responsibility towards each other and our wider community.
