Cecil Andrews College is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual for the role of Finance and Assets Officer.
The successful applicant will ideally draw upon previous skills and knowledge of managing a school’s financial resources, preparing and management of a budget, end of month and end of year procedures, procurement, management and maintenance of school assets, assisting staff with financial advice on school matters, insurance claims and organising facility hire of College venues.
This role will support the Manager Corporate Services and liaise with other staff to maintain appropriate financial systems. You will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle difficult or unexpected situations, whilst identifying appropriate solutions. Experience in a wide range of application software packages in particular RM Finance, Asset Manager, RM Billing, Flexipurchase, Schools Information Systems (SIS) and Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) is highly desirable. Extensive experience with MS Office would also be considered highly desirable. Whilst working within a highly demanding environment we are seeking an individual who is able to adapt to change and work under pressure to achieve desired outcomes.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Sound financial management knowledge, skills and experience and ability to provide input to budget preparation.
- Skills in providing effective support and input into the development, implementation and monitoring of school buildings, grounds and facilities.
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills and experience in the operation of financial and business management information systems.
- Sound written, oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills and experience in data analysis and reporting.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
