Appointment Pool
Carlisle Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teachers – Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2022.
We are looking for committed and collaborative educators who are willing to join our unique team of professionals to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Suitable applicants will have a strong knowledge of all key elements of curriculum and pedagogy as well as an ability to understand and use student performance data effectively to inform planning and differentiation across all year groups.
We are looking for applicants who will be able to inspire students to develop a passion for learning in vibrant, engaging and supportive classrooms, whilst setting and upholding high expectations of behaviour and engagement through the explicit use our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach. It is key to the role that you will implement a whole school approach to numeracy and literacy as well displaying confidence in utilising Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom across all learning areas to enhance learning.
Suitable applicants will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. It is highly desirable that applicants will be able to articulate their capacity to work effectively in collaborative learning teams to achieve our shared short and long term goals for student success.
It would also be advantageous to be able articulate your experience in implementing whole school consistent practices, effectively differentiating learning based on data, and the ability to demonstrate the impact you have on student outcomes, including those students from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) backgrounds.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
