Appointment Pool
Are you passionate about quality teaching and ready to take on new challenges with a dedicated and collaborative team?
Caversham Valley Primary School (CVPS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Established in 2020, CVPS has already developed a reputation as a high-performing school with a culture of excellence and embracing its diverse community. CVPS has a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and the social-emotional needs of children. Staff are united in supporting and demonstrating our school values of being Kind, Learners, Respectful, Responsible and Safe, with new staff expected to exemplify these.
Suitable applicants will support the continued development and implementation of our school’s culture, vision and improvement journey. You will implement our school-wide practices that meet the needs of our students and an environment that promotes success. These practices include coaching, Peer Observation, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Letters and Sounds, Words Their Way, Talk 4 Writing, Seven Steps, High Impact Teaching Strategies, and The Morning Meeting among others.
You will work collaboratively with school leadership, other teachers, support staff and the wider community. Suitable applicants will value weekly collaborative planning in year level teams to develop consistent learning programs that utilise whole school assessment data, differentiate learning and teaching and understanding of impact on student progress. A willingness to take on additional roles beyond the classroom and a commitment to weekly information sessions will be valued.
As a teacher at CVPS you will go deeper than just delivering the required curriculum; knowing students individually, culturally and developmentally is just as important. Genuine and meaningful relationships will be key to student, teacher and school success.
Located 15 km from the centre of Perth in the growing suburb of Caversham, near the Swan Valley, CVPS is surrounded by rapidly developing housing estates with many young families. Our school community includes families of different backgrounds and cultures, many from overseas where English is not always the first language or dialect spoken at home.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
