Appointment Pool
Two Rocks Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of passionate and motivated Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Suitable applicants will be passionate and highly motivated educators who are willing to participate in high level professional learning to ensure that they have the appropriate skills to facilitate the best possible instruction for our students.
Applicants with the ability to utilise Explicit Teaching to teach the appropriate skills and a knowledge of Instructional Strategies to ensure that the students apply the skills learnt to embed knowledge and master higher order thinking, will be highly regarded.
Two Rocks PS is a happy, friendly school with a dedicated staff who are all focused on ensuring that the environment, resources and educational programs are all of the highest quality. Every staff member is valued for the part they play as part of the team with every one working collaboratively to support one another as well as the students.
Two Rocks PS has many processes embedded across the school including a Coaching/Conferencing model, all staff are required to self-reflect and analyse their own teaching practice as well as provide quality constructive feedback to their colleagues. All staff are data literate and are able to utilise the knowledge gained from the data analysis to plan effective programs designed to meet the specific needs of the students. Consistency, High Expectations and Respect are the key mantra that underpins everything that we do. The Classroom Management Strategies program, whole school Literacy, Mathematics, Science and HASS program are operated across the school to ensure consistency. Many staff have taken on leadership roles and have achieved Level 3 Classroom Teacher status. Each room has an Interactive TV as well as access to a bank of IPads which are utilised effectively across all Learning Areas.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Applicants currently completing the Department of Education Leap program (formerly known as the Switch program) can apply for vacancies using their current or Leap qualification – even if they have not completed the program at the time of applying. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
