Carnaby Rise Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Primary for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2022.
As a teacher of Carnaby Rise PS you will be a committed, professional and collaborative participant in our progressive, high performing and multi-cultural diverse education community. Suitable applicants will have the skills and experience in providing a high quality teaching and learning program to meet the needs of the students while addressing the targets of the school’s business plan. The school has a strong focus on working collaboratively in a flexible environment with delegated roles and responsibilities.
It is highly desirable for the applicants to have experience in a wide repertoire of strategies including; co-operative learning, reflective teaching and feedback processes, and sound classroom management based on restorative practices.
The school has a large number of English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) students ideally, experiences, skills, knowledge and abilities in this area will be desirable.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
