East Kimberley College is seeking an enthusiastic Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) to join their Kindilink Program.
KindiLink is a play-and-learn initiative for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who are not old enough to enroll in school (0-3yrs). At EKC we welcome both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal families into the program. Early Years Education assists in the development of children’s cognitive abilities, and also helps with enhancing social and emotional skills while interacting with their peers. This year EKC enrolments for KindiLink have increased substantially. EKC is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Aboriginal Islander Education Officer. The successful applicant will be an Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer with preferable extensive experience in early childhood education and the Abecedarian Approach. The successful applicant will also have the capacity to advise on and promote strong and respectful relationships with families and engage with their local community.
