Do you have the drive and desire to take on new challenges in our foundation year of our Education Support Program?
Pine View Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
Pine View PS in Baldivis is seeking highly motivated, flexible and collaborative teaching staff to join our growing team. The school opened with students from K- Year 6 in 2021. The Education Support Program will open in 2022 and will be an inclusive part of Pine View PS.

A collaborative approach will ensure that intervention is targeted and individualised to enable each child to reach his / her full potential.
Suitable applicants will have a strong focus on ensuring a safe and appropriate learning environment, and will be experienced in supporting education assistants to deliver evidence-based programs to enhance student outcomes. Ideally you will be a flexible, adaptive teacher and have specialist knowledge and skills related to students with disability, including Intellectual Disability (ID), multiple physical disabilities and high need Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful applicant should be able to manage class teams and liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and care needs of the students. You will ideally have a working knowledge of the WA Curriculum, ABLE WA and knowledge of First Steps Maths and English, (including guided reading and synthetic phonics; Letters and Sounds and Talk4Writing process). At Pine View PS we support students using Team Teach principles and Zones of Regulation. Suitable applicants will ideally be committed to reflective practice that will include classroom observations, feedback, modelling and coaching. You will assist the development and implementation of school wide practices to meet the needs of our students and ensure an environment that promotes success is created.
You will oversee the development of meaningful and measurable Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure that they outline functional curriculum objectives and support the whole child through targeted social-emotional skills and life skills.
Our school is located in the growing suburb of Baldivis, surrounded by developing housing estates with many young families. The school consists of an administration block, a library resource centre which contains the staff room, an early childhood block, three learning blocks, one of which has an Art/Science room, a covered assembly area, canteen and a music room and a multi-purpose playing court, junior football oval and cricket practise nets which will provide a pleasant and inviting environment. Our teaching and learning environments will reflect a positive and innovative approach to maximising learning opportunities for students. In 2022, an onsite Education Support facility will be opened and will cater for approximately 40/50 low to moderate need students.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
