Can you inspire a passion for lifelong learning in little ones?
Kindaimanna Community Kindergarten is seeking a highly dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Teacher to join their team.
A Community Kindergarten is a Kindergarten that operates in a purpose-built building that is not located on the school site. They offer an alternative to school-based onsite Kindergartens for children who turn four years of age by 30 June in the year they attend.
The management of a Community Kindergarten is shared between the Parent Management Committee and the Kindergarten Teacher, who work very closely together. The Community Kindergarten’s teacher and program are under the authority of the Department of Education and the Principal at the local linked school, being Grovelands Primary, as the line manager.
As a teacher at our Kindergarten you will be able to work collaboratively with a Parent Committee and liaise with stakeholders, including the linked school (Grovelands Primary) and the City of Armadale.
The successful applicant will be an independent and proactive provider of innovative teaching and learning programs that nurture and inspire students. Knowledge of Diana Rigg (PLD) Literacy program and ‘Talk 4 Writing’ is preferable. As the Kindergarten teacher, you will be expected to demonstrate a play-based approach and a good understanding of how to establish a positive classroom environment, fostering high care and expectations. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of the WA Curriculum, National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Frameworks.
Kindaimanna Community Kindergarten is located in Kelmscott and has been a strong part of the community for 44 years. The grounds are large and the outside play area is extensive, surrounded by large shaded trees, numerous sand pits, climbing frames, cubby house, flying fox, slides and swings.
At Kindaimanna we believe that every child has the right to the best possible education, and the educational process is best served when the school, the child, the teacher and the parent/carer work together in a positive way to support learning. Our school connects with the wider community by establishing strong partnerships to support our school.
