Appointment Pool
Ashdale Secondary College (SC) is seeking to establish a pool of innovative and motivated Teachers – Home Economics for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 3, 2022.
The Home Economics team is a highly effective team, who values collegiality, reflective practice and the pursuit of excellence. Suitable applicants will ideally have the ability to teach across the range of Home Economics fields including, but not limited to, Food and Textiles. It is highly desirable the suitable applicants possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and a Certificate II in Hospitality; however, these are not essential and can be trained.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
