This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2021 with possible extension
Dumbleyung Primary School (PS) are seeking to appoint a hardworking and motivated Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team, working in a multi-age classroom with small student numbers.
The successful applicant should be willing to teach explicitly and be committed to using evidence-based approaches with support and coaching. Being flexible is highly regarded in this role as we are a small school requiring a collaborative approach and a willingness to teach other classes to provide DOTT. Familiarity with Sounds-Write and Talk for Writing are highly desirable but training will be provided for the right person.
As the successful applicant you will demonstrate that all children can learn with effective explicit instruction and support. As a continual learner, you will also be enthusiastic about engaging in the DPS peer observation and feedback cycle.
While not essential, applicants with leadership aspirations and a willingness to contribute to the continual improvement of the school both within your classroom and beyond will be well supported in their development.
Dumbleyung PS was originally established in 1911. Student numbers reached over 210 in the early 1960s and in 1968 the school became a District High School. The school was reclassified to a Level 3 Primary School for the start of the 2000 school year. Our community celebrated the school's centenary in 2011.
