Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Manager Corporate Services to join their friendly and supportive team.
As the Manager Corporate Services the successful applicant will work closely with the Principal to establish and be responsible for the financial, physical and human resource processes of the school. The successful applicant will possess a solution focused approach to management and have a growth mindset.
The successful applicant will ensure that effective financial administration of the school's business operations is delivered, including financial processing and reporting to ensure achievement of the school's strategic and corporate financial objectives. They will also provide operational input to the development of the financial aspects of the school business and marketing plans and monitor the school’s performance against the plans.
The successful applicant will provide effective human resource management, including direct line management of school support staff. As a member of the executive and leadership team, applicants will have the capacity to develop strong relationships, to lead a large team of support and Corporate Services staff and work with the executive and leadership teams to recruit, supervise and manage school support staff.
The ability to work in a collaborative team environment committed to building quality communication with all stakeholders, and developing strong community relationships and links is essential. Applicants will ideally possess outstanding oral, written, interpersonal, communication, analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- High-level human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and processes.
- High-level financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to understand and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- High-level written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Experience in the application of high-level customer service principles and practices.
- Experience in effective leadership of a team.
- The ability to provide high-level human resource consultancy and financial advice in the development, implementation and management of business and marketing plans.
- Well-developed problem solving and risk management skills, including the ability to provide innovative solutions to strategic and complex problems and issues.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
