Ellenbrook Secondary College (SC) is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher – Health and Physical Education for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2022. Early career teachers are encouraged to apply.
Suitable applicants will be flexible, have excellent interpersonal skills and be willing to work collaboratively to produce authentic and engaging learning experiences within the school community to achieve the best outcomes for all students. You will be highly motivated; student and relationship focused, and be able to provide learning opportunities that are responsive to the learning needs and strengths of students from a diverse range of backgrounds. To be successful, you will possess strong understanding and professional knowledge relevant to the secondary school Health and Physical Education curriculum.
Health and Physical Education staff at Ellenbrook SC actively promote the College’s values of Engagement, Success and Community. We place a strong focus on supporting the College’s distributed leadership structure by providing staff with opportunities to lead special projects and College programs linked to the Health and Physical Education Learning Area. The successful applicant will be willing to lead a range of educational activities at both curricular and extra-curricular levels to support the holistic education of our students. To be considered for this position applicants will need to display high levels of competency in teaching a wide range of Health and Physical Education contexts across Years 7-12 including pedagogical adjustments to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities. Roles needed for 2021 and beyond, may include Outdoor Education, Netball Coaching, Health Studies and General Physical Education Studies; so experience in teaching one or more of these subjects would be an advantage.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
